The cabinetry is a classic white shaker style with matte black hardware, extending all the way to the ceiling for a clean, finished look. Instead of crown molding, we opted for a simple, clean edge that complements the country feel of the kitchen. The sleek quartz countertops and timeless white subway tile backsplash tie the entire space together.

To improve the lighting, we installed pot lights and matte black pendant lights over the island, along with under-cabinet lighting to provide much-needed task lighting.

Throughout the renovation, we were kept company by Miss Winter, the homeowners' beautiful and attentive dog, who supervised our work with enthusiasm.

This kitchen renovation is a perfect example of how small changes and thoughtful design can maintain the integrity of a home's character while bringing in modern conveniences and style.

A Timeless Country Kitchen Transformation in North Bowmanville

In the heart of North Bowmanville, nestled in a charming country home, we had the pleasure of renovating a kitchen that was both outdated and full of potential. The homeowners loved the original layout and design of their kitchen, but it was clear that it needed an upgrade to enhance both its functionality and aesthetic appeal. Our task was to bring new life to this space while preserving the rustic charm that was so integral to the rest of the home.

The original kitchen had a wall with no cabinets at all, so we transformed it into a beautifully enclosed space, adding pantries on either end with upper and lower cabinets in between. This new setup created the perfect spot for their convection toaster oven, adding both storage and style to the once bare wall.

One unique element of the kitchen was an antique unit that served as an island. With deep sentimental value to the family, they were determined to keep it. However, the space wasn't as functional as it could be, so we added rollout shelves to make accessing stored items easier while preserving the island's character.
